There is a game-breaking bug in EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode.
EA Sports FC 24 has a game-breaking bug that players should be on the lookout for in the career mode. Fortunately, you will never run into this problem if you play Ultimate Team, VOLTA, or any other mode because this bug is specific to Career Mode. If you do play Career Mode, you'll want to be careful when using the new coach mechanic. Doing the wrong thing can cause your game to hard freeze.
Ultimate Team gets all the attention from EA because it makes all the money. Despite being the favorite mode of some of the most hardcore fans of the series who have been playing for years, Career Mode gets little to no love. The mode has had numerous problems and flaws that EA has refused to fix, and has barely changed from year to year.
To this end, one of the new features introduced to the mode this year is coaching, where currently when you try to fire a coach to either save money or replace them with a new one, you can't. The game will not allow you to do so and your screen will freeze. This is obviously not intentional. Many users have reported this problem, though it's unclear if it's universal. And for what it's worth, we have confirmation that this bug is indeed real and is replicating for us every single time. If it happens, you need to quit the application.
At the time of publication, it's unclear if EA is aware of this issue. Therefore, it's unclear if a fix is on the way. It's possible that this will be an issue for much longer than it should be, as Career Mode takes a backseat to other parts of the game.
EA Sports FC 24 is available now across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox SeriesS and Xbox SeriesX.
