FUT 23: Crossplay function should finally be introduced

EA SPORTS seems to be listening to the fans: The developer is said to be planning a crossplay function for FUT 23 that could unite Xbox, PlayStation and PC players.
For years, fans of the FUT series have been asking the developer EA SPORTS to enable crossplay in football simulation. So far, PlayStation players can only compete with and against PlayStation players, the same applies to Xbox and PC users. Other eSports titles are much more advanced and have long since brought their platform-dependent communities together. As gaming journalist Tom Henderson, who recently reported on the explosive statements by EA CEO Andrew Wilson about the FUT license, has now presumably revealed, a paradigm shift is looming for FUT 23: Crossplay is to be integrated.
Henderson writes on the XFIRE news site that EA SPORTS will take this path-but does not name any sources for this information. Despite its reputation, the prospect of crossplay should be treated with appropriate caution. In the social networks, however, fans, content creators and leakers believe him, Henderson is considered reliable and excellently connected. The alleged findings contrast with the leak by 'FUTZone', which recently claimed that FUT 23 would not receive crossplay. The leaker went even further, describing the feature as "unlikely" in general.
Henderson also reports that two World Cup modes will be playable in FUT 23 - one for women and one for men. In addition, EA SPORTS is working flat out to further develop the Hypermotion technology presented in FUT 22: The amount of data that has been collected in the current season is said to be more than a hundred times that of the previous franchise history. As a source for this information, Henderson cites internal EA conversations at staff meetings. Incidentally, the developer himself did not want to comment in the run-up to the publication.
The introduction of crossplay could solve an eSports problem in the FUT scene: Since FUT 22, most official EA tournaments and all Global Series competitions have been held exclusively on the PlayStation. As a result, professionals who had previously specialized on the Xbox were disadvantaged - although ambitious FUT players should of course be able to master both consoles. Nevertheless, in an international comparison, there can no longer be any talk of German dominance, as it still existed on the Xbox in FUT 21. A causal relationship seems all too logical.
