FUT 23’s HyperMotion 2 motion: allows the game to be more true-to-life

FUT 23 is coming soon, and EA wants to make it not only the most extensive game in the series to date, but also the most realistic. To that end, EA has upgraded its HyperMotion motion capture system to HyperMotion 2 and improved its machine learning algorithms. Both tools capture and aggregate data to make virtual football as realistic as possible. Said data even comes from actual football matches filmed by the Spanish team Zaragoza using Xsens technology. All of this together creates the most visually authentic entry in the series to date.
FUT 23 features advanced 11-v-11 match capture, which means real football players come together to play full-scale matches using Xsens suits. This year's competition is based on two professional teams' matches, including the women's mats (first the A series). That capture is then combined with EA's new machine learning algorithms to make players and their surroundings more realistic.
Various visual and mechanical enhancements further enhance FUT 23's loyalty to the sport. The player's limbs now react to the impact of the ball, and the full 3D net will even move when the ball or player touches the net. Other extra elements like new animations and (over 500) crowd slogans liven up the physical and emotional energy of the game.
HyperMotion 2 and new machine learning algorithms are involved in various innovations in FUT 23 games. EA showcases several features thanks to this innovative technology. Full Team Authentic Motion ensures that no two games are the same. Star-specific run styles, improved technical dribbling, female athlete-specific animations and left-foot trick moves are now possible with these advancements. Football games now look and feel more like real life than ever before.
More detailed and realistic animations give the game itself more depth and control. For example, Power Shots is a new skill-based risk-reward mechanic that unlocks another layer of strategy. To use them, you must draw the perfect space and aim precisely, press L1 and R1, and fire to activate. If executed properly, you can score goals with more power and accuracy. However, longer animations and the need for precision come with higher risks.
